Wat Nak Klang Worawihan is a third-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. It's an ancient temple built during the late Ayutthaya period and houses many important structures, including the sacred Buddha image Luang Pho Phra Phuttha Prasit, the principal Buddha statue in the main pavilion. This stucco Buddha image, covered in gold leaf, is in a meditative posture, measuring 71 inches across the lap and 108 inches in height. Currently, it houses the Phra Phuttha Nimit (Luang Pho Thong) Buddha image and nine bronze statues of King Taksin the Great in various poses, along with his loyal generals. This is another important site within the temple, serving as a center for preserving and promoting the glory of King Taksin the Great as a great monarch who restored independence to Thailand, a legacy passed down through generations. Furthermore, on Saturday, May 5th BE2555 (Saturday 5/5/2555), Wat Nak Klang Worawihan held a ceremony to cast a 30-inch seated statue of "Luang Pu Thuad, who walked on fresh water," for devotees to worship. A number of Luang Pu Thuad amulets of the "Riches" series were also created for sale to raise funds for the completion of the Luang Pu Thuad statue project, as well as for the restoration of the meditation hall and to contribute to the casting of the statue of King Taksin the Great in a majestic seated posture on his throne.
