Luang Pu Suang Worasuttho - "Phra Khru Suthiwaraphon", the former abbot of Wat Tham Phrom Sawat, Lopburi province. He was the guru monk who created the sacred object of the Pheasant King of Lopburi. His original name was Suang Phrommasawat and he was born on Wednesday, February 14, 1933 at Ubon Ratchathani province (now this area under Amnat Charoen province). At a young age, he finished primary school year 4 at a village school and then helped his family with their agricultural career by farming. Until the age of 20, he was ordained as a monk to make merit for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his return to Thailand at the ordination hall of Wat Pak Phriew, Saraburi Province. He had the opportunity to study various magical knowledge from Luang Pu Kham, Luang Pho Niam ~ Wat Noi, Phra Ajarn Phat, and many other famous monks in Suphanburi province at that time until successfully completing the knowledge from the teachers. With firm faith in Buddhism and a desire to learn and study Vipassana meditation, he said goodbye to his teachers in Suphanburi to continue his studies in meditation. He went on a pilgrimage with Phra Ajahn Khambu Thammatharo, a forest monk in the lineage of Phra Ajahn Mun. He received a new nickname, "Worasuttho", which means "the one who is extremely pure". After that, Phra Achan Juan took him on a pilgrimage to various places and became a disciple to study and practice Dhamma in the schools of many other teachers, such as Luang Pu Khao Analayo of Wat Tham Klong Ple, Luang Pu Thet Thet Rangsi, Luang Pu Fan Acharo, Luang Pu Chob Thansamo, Luang Pu Boonchan Chanthawaro, Luang Pu Khamdi Phabhaso, Phra Achan Wan Uttamo, Phra Achan Singhthong Thammavaro, Phra Achan Khambu Thammatharo, and many others. All of these Vipassana teachers were disciples of Luang Pu Mun. Later, construction of Wat Tham Phrommasawat Temple began in 1982 until its completion. In 2007, he was granted a promotion in ecclesiastical rank from Phrakru, first class, to Phrakru Advisor, special class sub-district abbot, with the title of Phrakru Suthiwaraphon. He passed away peacefully due to heart failure at Paolo Hospital, Bangkok on the afternoon of January 25, BE2561. He was 84 years old and 60 years of Phansa monkhood.
